Brighton Beach - Canon R6 Mark II Cinematic Test Footage and Stills
I recently upgraded my photography and video gear with the Canon R6 Mark II. On a trip to Brighton, UK, I tested the camera for the first time. I captured both test footage and stills, creating a short film of a moody morning on Brighton Beach. Additionally, I took a series of still photos throughout the trip, including some beautiful sunset shots.
For those interested in the technical details - The lens used was the 24-105 STM kit lens (f4-7.1). Video was shot using C-Log 3 and graded in Final Cut Pro using a combination of the default tools, and Film Convert for an added film effect. Stills were shot in RAW and edited in Lightroom.

Thanks for showing the new features. I've watched many new UA-cam videos, and none mentioned the importance of choosing a small portion of the photo because of the resolution. Yes, I knew that, but some may not. It's a huge step forward for Lightroom users, but it's still not as good as Photoshop's version. During my testing, a simple removal of a person fails. It seems to have more problems with something touching the edge of a photo. Hopefully, it will improve, as this is the first release. I also agree with your assessment of the Lens Blur tool. I always enjoy watching your content. You give us your honest opinion, good and bad.

For some reason, after this update I can't move the source selection of my healing/cloning brush tool. I hope this isn't a bug and I disabled something by accident. It's driving me crazy. I need to remove the current brush and draw a new one to change it. It's insane.

You can just select multiple photos and make sure in the bottom of the print module window, under the main window, make sure it says Use: selected photos. When you export it will export multiple images. You can set this to "all filmstrip photos" and it will export everything from the current folder or collection. They'll be exported to a folder on your computer. Try it on a small few images first

Thanks for the video, very informative. The one thing that has been driving me mad is the lack of space for items at the top right of the toolbar, where you have "Workspaces", "Grid" and Exposure warning". There are a lot more items I want here. I have found a sort of work around, but selecting "icons only" when customising the toolbar. This does allow a lot more icons, at the expense of having the text descriptions underneath. I am not sure why we can't have both, on my layout there is a lot of blank space to the left that can be used to fit everything in.

The anti-reflection tool I'd say is somewhat invaluable. However the background blur tool (and I'm currently having some quite heated debates with others elsewhere on the net on this tool) is certainly questionable. The above image is a good example here because despite blurring out the background, the reflection in the ball still has a deep DoF, which if it was to be realistic, wouldn't. My argument is simply to get it right in the first place. Use the right type of lens, otherwise we should all give up here and just accept that every image we view in future will be fake.
